One of the great perks of having the Carhartt Cabin nestled in the heart of Los Olivos wine country is that we have a number of great lunch options to grab food to go and enjoy while tasting on our patio in the Cabin. Here are a couple of our favorite places to stop and get food before going wine tasting for the day.
Peasants Deli & Market
Owned and operated by Michael and Sarah Cherney, Peasants Deli is our first stop whenever we are craving a delicious deli style sub or sandwich. Offering high end takes on classic sandwiches, our favorites are the Godfather, a spin on your classic Italian sub featuring locally sourced meats from family owned businesses in the area, or the newly added Pastrami Rueben, with house smoked pastrami. Peasants Deli has now become our go-to Sunday lunch spot! Open Thursday-Sunday 11am-3pm.

The Lucky Hen Larder
This is our first stop anytime we want to create the perfect picnic to take wine tasting. Since the lucky hen is a full service cheese shop and deli it has everything you need to get you through a full day of wine tastings. A couple of their can’t miss sandwiches include the Fresh Roasted Turkey Breast (Cranberry-fig compote, triple cream brie, pancetta, arugula, rosemary aioli) or the Smoked Bacon (greens, farmer’s tomato, aged cheddar, guacamole, herbed aioli). Or if you are looking for some lighter snacks, then grab one of their cheese boxes to go which feature a great selection of artisan cheeses and meats. You can even buy a lucky hen cheese box in our tasting room!

Cork & Oak – Inside R Country Market, this is a brand new deli that we are excited to have open right across the street from us. This is a perfect place to order sandwiches before starting your tasting in the Carhartt Cabin and running over and grabbing the food when it is ready.
Panino Sandwich Shop – While most of you have already been here before, Panino is still the standard by which all sandwiches in Los Olivos Wine Country are judged off of. Offering a great selection of high quality sandwiches and salads. Panino will be sure to have something that everyone in your group would love.
