Carhartt Family Wines

One of the reasons Santa Barbara has become such a celebrated wine region is the sheer diversity of grapes that thrive in this area.

The rare east-west orientation of the valleys creates microclimates that allow cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to flourish just miles away from sun-loving Rhône and Bordeaux varietals.

At Carhartt Family Wines, we embrace that diversity. Each year, we produce over 20 small-lot wines, ranging from Pinot Noir and Syrah to lesser-known grapes such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, and Graciano. This variety allows us to tell the story of Santa Barbara’s vineyards one bottle at a time.
